Despite all of the love and gratitude I felt for all my former jobs, I consistently burned myself out. I worked too hard and hardly had time or energy leftover for painting. In late 2021, I quit my jobs and took some time to figure out what was next. During that time I painted voraciously, more than I had been able to in years. I felt so much happier than I had in years and wanted to chase that feeling so I started Moonbeam.

I have so many goals for Moonbeam. I want to bring awareness to the places I love. I hope to inspire you to steward your own special places. I want to capture memories (mine or yours) through wild amounts of color, texture and emotion. I hope to create more space for joy, compassion and love between each other. And I hope to create a space where I can have a sustainable work life balance to better support myself and engage with you. I will be doing all of this alongside my best bud Max (pictured to the right.)

Sending you all so much love. Thank you for being here. Olivia and Max

Hi there! My name is Olivia. I’m the artist, founder, and general everything behind Moonbeam.

I am a painter, outdoor enthusiast, devoted dog-mom and storyteller. I am most myself when I’m deep in the wilderness, painting my surroundings, my dog by my side. There’s nothing else like it.

Being outside is where I thrive, and I spent a lot of years pursuing careers that supported that. I spent time in the field, I managed outdoor programming logistics and then transitioned into program development and management for food access programs. I became deeply connected to the places I lived and recreated in. I developed passion for environmental stewardship of the places I accessed. Over time, I found that painting intensified those connections and I felt so much joy when I was able to return to painting.
